Nothing, in all honesty. Some companies just choose to advertise their product specifically for taking a shower--hence, ';shower gel';...and some companies choose to advertise the exact same sort of product as ';body wash';--which can go both ways, really...you can use it while you take a bath or a shower. Some companies just choose to use either wording because it fits better with their product or company's name.
I think body wash usually has more soap i.e. cleanser in it than body gel. Body gel is just for when u wanna smell pretty... =)
dont know
i haven't been able to figure that one out, either
Basically, marketing. Why make money selling one product when you can sell two and make twice as much. But, some body wash products claim you can use them to wash your hair, whereas shower gels are not for that. Also, you will generally find higher end products, such as Badedas and Vitabath and others in shower gels and more common and less expensive items as body washes.
not much, if any, difference just the way they are packaged and what the label says
No difference -- they both do the same thing, get you clean!
there really isnt 1 , ppl jst call them different namez
hi

a body wash you can use for in the bath and can keep adding alllover whislt bathing (but you can use it in the shower),

a shower gel is meant to be foamed up once whilst showering and thats it.

Hope this helps (by the way use whatever you fancy in the bath or the shower there's no rules !!! )xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
